About Ignazio Arces

Throughout his career, Ignazio has been pivotal in the success of transformative projects, including the conversion of Gela's biorefinery from an old industrial site into a modern energy hub. He has navigated complex challenges in energy transition across five refineries in Italy (Eni) and the UAE (ADNOC).

Ignazio's academic background is as impressive as his professional journey. He holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Palermo, an Advanced Certificate for Executives in Management, Innovation, and Technology from MIT Sloan, and a Master's degree in Politics and Management of the Middle East and North Africa from LUISS University.

He has published several papers on refining, energy policies, diagnostics and maintenance in international journals, and speaks English and Italian fluently.
